Leading K-12 Analytics Firm BrightBytes Taps Education Technology Veteran to Support Large Scale State and District Implementations

Former Kaplan executive, Giuseppe “Seppy” Basili will join BrightBytes as Chief Revenue Officer

BrightBytes, the leading provider of K-12 learning analytics, announced today the addition of Giuseppe “Seppy” Basili as Chief Revenue Officer.  In his new role, Basili will be responsible for spearheading the company’s growth strategies to provide K-12 school leaders with actionable, data-driven insights to make informed decisions about district investments and student interventions.

With almost two decades of experience collaborating with the leadership of the nation’s largest school districts, NGOs and foundations, including New York City Department of Education, LAUSD, Chicago Public Schools, Pinellas County, and the School District of Philadelphia, Basili brings unparalleled insight to the priorities and processes that drive K-12 decision making. Prior to joining BrightBytes, Basili focused on the implementation of college readiness initiatives in over 400 districts as General Manager of Kaplan K-12 Learning Services.

Basili has also served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Academic Officer of Catapult Learning, where he led the ed tech company’s product and professional development teams. In addition to his background in education technology, he has experience in the nonprofit sector, most recently as the Director of Strategic Initiatives at The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation.
